Antique Royal Vienna Styled Hand-Painted Artist Signed Beehive Marking Tankard or Stein with Bronze Mounts. No nicks chips are r cracks!!!!Red with gold trim workIn amazing used condition.Measures approx. 6.5" tall.This antique and elaborately hand-painted porcelain tankard is believed to have been made in Europe in circa 1880 in the neoclassical style of Royal Vienna. This covered stein has a highly detailed hand-painted panel of A friar/monk. The rear of the stein is done with bands of gilt scroll decoration with intricate beaded accents. The cast gilt bronze mounts are very detailed and the lid has the same gilt scroll work. Opening the tankard reveals a beautiful painted woman for the drinkers viewing pleasure. This tankard does bear a blue beehive mark on the bottom. Above the beehive mark in script is the title, "Noch ein's "Antique Royal Vienna Porcelain Lidded Tankard Stein 19th century.
