Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique 19th Century Holy "Saint Rita Of Cascia" Religious Wall Prayer Shrine with Candle, which dates from the Turn of The Century. This Wall Mounted Shrine is made of Heavy Oak Wood with a Hand Painted Chalkware Statue of Saint Rita of Cascia "The Patroness for Abused Wives and Mourning Women", made in Italy. The Shrine measures approx. 22" tall x 13" wide x 4" deep, It measures approx. 7" Deep including the Candle. It has a Beautiful Red Glass Candle Holder with Candle to Illuminate the Statue! The Statue is encased under Glass and in excellent condition. The Glass has Stunning Hand Painted Reverse painted Glass Imagery with Cherubs in the Corners and Pillar Scrolls and Designs, Absolutely Beautiful! The words "Saint Rita Of Cascia" are written on the glass. This is a Very Rare Prayer Shrine, as Saint Rita items are Not very Common!
