For auction is a 19th century walnut Victorian foldiing Savronola chair with highly a detailed tooled leather seat and back in worn and partially torn condition. The highly detailed chair features lion heads on the arm rests and top back. The chair measures approx. 35"h. x 26"w. x 19"d. and is structurally sound. These types of chairs are also called "X- Chairs" and date back to the 16th century. One old glue repair is shown on the leg (see photo). The tooled leather is accented by large brass tacks.
