AntiqueScallop Shell Needle Book English * Circa 1850 This wonderful little antique needlebook is made from a both sides of a real scallop shell. It has been drilled at the back and is tied with red silk ribbons . Inside are finely woven wool pages to hold the needles. They have all been edged in silk button hole stitches. There's a sliver chip at the edge on the back side of the shell, but it's in overall excellent condition. The shell measures 1 3/4" by 1 3/4".
