Antique Genuine Victorian/Edwardian eraRare Banded BLUE Agate Sterling Silver Brooch c. 1890-1910 If you are a collector of antique Victorian jewelry, I'm certain you will be familiar with these wonderful agate brooches produced in England & Scotland during the late Victorian/Edwardian era. This wonderful little Banded Blue Agate brooch is rather rare. Often you will find these polished hand brooches in shades of amber and brown. This is the first one I have come across that is blue. An exquisite navy & sky blue, with flashes of translucent white, and beige. I must say it is lovely. These agates are like fingerprints; no two are ever identical. This one is in wonderful shape. It is set into a tested sterling silver beaded mount with original hinge, clasp and pin stem. Measures just over 1"long x .75" wide. NO RESERVE !
