I have up for sale a beautiful vintage original circa 1890s to early 1900s Seth Thomas ADAMANTINE 8 Day Time & Strike Mantel Clock. Its a really nice looking clock ! Measures approx 17-3/8" across the front claw feet, approx 16" across the top ,and approx 11-1/2" tall. I believe that this model is called SHASTA. It is Estate Fresh , direct from a 96 year old collector , whom I have known for the past 20 years. I have been after this clock for a long time and he finally sold it to me. The clock works - It runs smoothly and keeps good time . The clock strikes on the half hour - a bell sound, on the hour it gongs commensurate with what ever hour it is. It may need some adjustment after receiving the clock. It would be a good idea to have the movement cleaned and oiled , as it has not been ran for along time , prior to me purchasing it. I have ran it for the last week and it keeps good time and all is working fine but with this said , it would be wise to have it gone over by a clock person. The pendulum bob is the original. The key works and fits perfectly - not sure if its the original or not. Cosmetically the case is in very nice original condition - minor light normal wear. There is some light fading to the black but overall its quite nice. View the pics and make your own judgement. The dial face is original, clean and in nice
