Beautiful quality...antique carved shell cameo brooch. Pale pale pink conch shell. Unusual round and bordered with dozens of seed pearls each set on a separate gold post. The back is solid gold...tested 14K. There is a small rod..hollow center at top....in which a ring could be added ...so can be also worn as a pendant. Carving is high relief detail of goddess psyche with butterfly wing in hair. Heavy gold. Measures 1 1/4". Lovely old piece in excellent condition.
