Please give it some time, large files might take a while to load!You are bidding on a NICE RARE likely 19th century Shona spear from South Africa. Very nice example likely 19th century or very early 20th century. Solid head similar with the Zulu spears but with blade forged in Z section like the more known knives/dagger. The spear is 50 inches long,very solid, the head is 12.5 inches and the end spike is 4.5 inches. Very nice patina on the shaft. Similar spears can be seen in a book published in 1893 "Idustrie des Cafres du sud-est de l'Afrique; collection recueillie sur les lieux et notice ethnographique" that has nice plates with numerous examples mostly from Tsonga, Shona and Zulu, I have listed an image with spears from this book, see the last image.
