AntiqueSilk John Wesley Bookmark * Stevengraph English * Circa 1870s This lovely Victorian silk bookmark is a woven Stevengraph. The folded back top is signed "T. Stevens - Welsh & Lenton". Thomas Stevens began creating these little woven sentiments in his factory in Coventry, England. He first used the term "Stevengraph" in 1876 for his silk bookmarks. The bottom is folded to a point and has the original black tassel. The top has a small split and is discolored - looks like glue perhaps. The condition is otherwise excellent with no fraying or other damage and it measures 7 3/8" long, not including the tassel. I stand behind everything that I offer and guarantee that it is exactly as presented. ** Full Insurance is included in the low shipping price for all of my auctions. ** for the details.
