These items run the GAMUT from FINE GLASSWARE AND COLLECTABLES to ANTIQUE CIGAR CUTTERS and other things, like you have NEVER seen! What FUN! GET READY! OK! My Brother and a long time friend of his, collect CIGAR CUTTERS, HUMIDORS and ANTIQUE CIGAR LIGHTERS, and I SAW THE COLLECTION HE HAS, and it is OVERWHELMING My Brother gave me some incredible Cigar items, and I AM OFFERING THEM TO YOU! PLEASE!!! I HAVE HAD MANY E MAILS FROM PEOPLE ASKING ME TO STOP THE LISTINGS I HAVE, OR GIVE THEM A "BUY IT NOW". I CANNOT DO THAT, I APPRECIATE YOUR INTEREST. I KNOW these ITEMS ARE NOT WORTH A COMPLETE FORTUNE, I ALSO KNOW THEY ARE NOT CHEAP. It's WHAT THE BUYER WANTS PERSONALLY. OK! is a wonderfully unique, and I think, gorgeous piece, it's CIGAR CUTTER TRAY (I do NOT believe this was ever used as an ASH TRAY at all, as that is NOT the purpose) but the DETAIL on this piece is STUNNING. It really is. THE tray catches the CIGAR CLIPPINGS, of course. IT IS QUADRUPLE SILVER and is HALLMARKED ON THE UNDERSIDE "MERIDEN SILVER PLATE" with NUMBERS, and also a SYMBOL, which is a LION-LIKE MYTHICAL CREATURE HOLDING AN URN. AND SPEAKING OF MYTHICAL CREATURES, I DO NOT KNOW what the ...CREATURES ARE THAT ARE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE CUTTER on this amazing piece, but they have HUMAN HEADS and ARE WEARING HELMETS, and the REST of them...they look like they belong on the front of a SHIP! I have NOOO idea! BUT VERY COOL! It is IN GREAT SHAPE, it just NEEDS CLEANED, and I was TOLD; "DO NOT TRY TO CLEAN ANY OF THESE ITEMS". o-KAY then! However, I CAN ONLY BE TOLD WHAT TO DO for SO LONG! :) I HAD to polish part of the underside of this piece so I could see the hallmarking, and what I did manage to do before stopping cleaned up beautifully. This HAS to be from the late 1800s, early 1900s (I researched the company a little), and it has scratches of course, but my CAMERA PICKS UP EVERY LITTLE THING. This can be cleaned up VERY NICELY and will make a BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION for the COLLECTOR. I would even KEEP IT MYSELF, it's THAT NICE! This stunning piece of history measures approx. 7 " long and approx. 4 " high measuring from the TOP of the piece, w the cutter is. THIS WAS MADE FOR SMALLER CIGARS, NOT THE LARGE ONES.
