Up for bids is this set of 12 antique salad or dessert silver forks. They have 3 tines and measure 6 5 /16 " long by 3 /4 " at the widest part of the handle. Total weight is around 12 ounces.The forks are in excellent condition, they just need a little cleaning.The forks are marked WGY and also have a duty mark (profile portrait of the current monarch's head). I read somew that the duty mark was abolished in 1890. Since t is a tiny number 3 embossed below the duty mark the fineness of the silver should be .800
