From the late 1970’s through the early 1990’s I was an antiques dealer and a collector of primitives, folk art, rustics and things that are difficult to find today. I have been strictly a private collector since 1991, but am no longer accumulating so now wish to find good homes for the items I have loved and cared for the last 40 years. I will be listing things weekly from my personal collection that were never part of my sales inventory when I was a dealer. Each was garnered individually and not from garage sales, estate sales or auctions and has lived in a Smoke-Free, Pet-Free home for 4 decades.While I am not offering returns because I am no longer in business, I will stand behind the age and descriptions of everything I put up for sale and will guarantee that each item is neither a fake nor a reproduction which is a guarantee you would be hard-pressed to find backed up elsewhere. I will include the provenance (if known) plus my name, my background and the above information along with the item’s description on the receipt to every winner. Maybe she or someone who knows her is still out there and will contact me to remind me of her name. I believe when I started purchasing them in the early 1980's that she lived in PA. But I think she moved to another state later. These were ALL purchased before 1991 which was the year the internet came out! She advertised in the Antique Trader Weekly paper and sent out a monthly paper list by U.S. mail that included xeroxed copies of the actual paper ornaments she had for up sale. I then had to call her by phone and try to beat out other callers for the ones I wanted. If I got my mail late....I missed out. What a difference compared to how easy it is today using eBay! :) I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THAT EVERY SINGLE PAPER ORNAMENT I WILL BE OFFERING IS THE REAL DEAL....AN OLD ORIGINAL ANTIQUE.....MANY FROM THE VICTORIAN ERA....WITH NOT A REPRODUCTION IN THE LOT! THE BACKS OF EACH IS OXIDIZED AND DARK AS A TRUE ANTIQUE SHOULD BE FROM AGE. They come from a SMOKE FREE....PET FREE.....MOLD FREE HOME. She has wings, a gold colored dress, dark hair with red ornaments and is holding a banner. There is a larger red rose at the bottom with tiny blue flowers and 2 metallic gold leaves behind her. It has its original wire hanger although it is broken and twisted at the top to hold it on. Very good overall condition. Please use the mouse for close ups so you can decide for yourself. CODE: A Sizes given are approximate and were measured at the widest parts including tinsel. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" Photos were taken with and without flash to show the most details.
