Up for auction is an antique carbide light or lamp for a bicycle. Made of brass with original chrome finish mostly intact. Front glass is in very good condition with no cracks and only a few very minor surface abrasions. Red and Green Crystals are intact with surface wear showing but no cracks or damage. Top is marked "Solar". Back says " The Badger Brass Mfg Co, Kenosha, Wis USA". Some brass showing through. Patent dates listed on the bottom are for France, Belgium, Austria, US, Canada and England. Dates are 1896 with various months for each country listed. I do not know if it works. Knobs do not turn at this time but I did not try to force them. The top has a dent w is says solar and t is surface wear and minor dings but no major dents or damage. It measures 8" by 5" and weighs 2 lbs.
