This auction is for a solid brass with tin lining melon form footed vase by Gorham. The vase measures about 10" high by 4 1/4" top diameter. The vase is marked Gorham Co 385 with the anchor mark. The vase has two inscriptions Given to Unity Church, Albany NY, by the Women's Alliance and In loving memory of Louise Barnard Horton, 1874-1932. ( Except there was no Unity Church in Albany in 1932.) The tin lining is intact and the brass is excellent and a good polish would improve this even more. Two shoulders of the vase are very very out of form but not important. Gorgeous brass work from a quality liturgical ware maker.
