Antique Solid Oak Small Child's School Chair Exceptional Strong Metal Bracing Exceptionally well made solid oak child's chair used in schools for small children. It appears that the chair was painted at one time and then stripped and refinished. Small amounts of white paint can be seen in the pores. The back rest has been repaired and not particularly professional. The metal bolt bracing under the seat is really unusual and makes the chair extra strong as opposed to those that are just glued. The long bolts go through all 4 legs and have a wedge type head that fits the angle of the leg, (very unique). The seat looks like its made of 4 pieces of oak and is very solid and tight. The seat is 12 inches from the floor and measures 13 wide at the front, 12 inches wide at the back and 11 inches front to back. The back legs are 22 inches high. Weight is just short of 7 pounds.
