This item is an old ledger book containing a variety of papers related to the mining industry in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It includes some blank sheets of paper, Western Union telegrams, an old cartoon, many letters regarding equipment and prospects, and ledger entries. I can provide more photos or information to the interested buyers. The documents and documentation range from 1908 to 1916. An excellent find for a history buff, particularly of the gold mining of the Black Hills. The condition of the ledger is well-worn. The binding is loose as are many of the papers. Many of the sheets are yellowed, although the letters and such are in good condition given the age and nature of the materials. T is a slight warp to the ledger as well. I would plan to send wrapped in bubble wrap with cardboard for protection in a priority mail envelope. It fits well in the large envelope. A second option would be to enclose it in a flat rate priority box. The buyer must advise if insurance is desired and the cost will be added to the shipping. Actual shipping and handling costs will then be determined at the close of the auction. Please ask if you have questions.
