Made in Spain Circa 1800's or earlier This very old tile was originally made to be used on the ceiling, with wooden beams covering the two ends so that only the glazed portion of the tile could be seen. There are 4 glossy glazes with a raised floral/vine motif. This came from the collection of Norman Karlson, author of books on American vintage tiles. He traveled extensively and collected tile from all over the world. It has the expected wear and patina appropriate to its age, but overall very good condition. Measures 11 3/4" long (glazed portion is 10" long) x 5" wide x 1" thick. This listing is for ONE tile, but we have about 12 pcs available for sale with varying conditions. Contact us if interested in more than one tile and photos will be provided.
