Antique SPANISH SWORD in LEATHER STEEL ENDS SCABBARD Blade stamped ARTILLERIA FABRICA DE TOLEDO Reverse of blade stamped #8785 I think this sword may be from The Spanish American War Blade is 23 1/4" Handel is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8" Scabbard is 24" leater with metal tip and top CONDITION Polished looking blade is very nice with minor rust spots most concentrated at the end and some light spoting throughout. Blade is in very good condition. The handel wood is very nice with no problems and the metal fitings do have discoloration and age. The scabbard leather is supple and healthy with the end being a bit droopy without the blade in it for support. T is a split in the scabbard leather near the top which is only detected should I force it apart with my fingers. It is a nice sword that I would not reegret owning should I collect this particular type. It is in nice unrestored/ fooled with condition. I am selling it as I bought it without even a cleaning. Must be 18 years of age to purchase this item. check my other auctions for more edged weapons.
