Up for bid is a nice authentic piece of SPELTER metal antique! This old Spanish warrior stands just under 14 inches tall from bottom of base to top of hat. About 5 inches wide at base. The Spaniard stands galliantly holding arms stretched out to hold what used to be a sword. It is missing. He is in full period garb wearing clothes from that era. Boots with wide buckles. Long hair and a hat befitting. T is a small hole in the back of his head/hat. I do not know why or its origin. The statue appears to be in good condition with some natural patina. Felt pads on bottom, but open w you can see all the way into the pedestal part of statue. He stands on a pedestal with an urn on one side and roman building scenes on another side. The back side of pedestal is flat with no photo's. I see NO numbers, or signatures anyw in or on this piece. I have seen others like this. Interesting, still a quality spelter statue worthy of your fireplace mantle or any formal room in your house! This is a true antique and any spelter piece will be collectible in the future with a good return on your investment!
