Although not signed this lamp is by the French sculptor, Auguste Moreau. It is known for certain that this is by Auguste Moreau because I own the piece Printemps (Spring) which has been signed and has identical characteristics to this piece (base is identical). This lamp has a slender young boy barely clad with a featd cap on his head. He appears to have just blown his horn and made a grand announcement. The base of the lamp is covered in flowers. This metal lamp is very detailed, right down to his fingernails and toenails. The plaque on the bottom of the base reads Autumne. The lamp stands about 13 1/2 inches from the base to the top of the head, and then extends another 12 inches to the top of the filial. It is entirely of metal and has been painted in bronze, gold and silver metallic colors. The paint is in perfect condition and t are no cracks, breaks, dents or missing pieces to this lovely vintage lamp. The lamp is in working order.
