This is a delightful antique spinning toy.You place the silhouettes on a flat surface and spin the top nearby. Because the tip of the top has a magnet, when it spins into contact with a silhouette,it clings to the side of the silhouette and traces around its entire perimeter and then goes to the next one. The box is marked "DESSY patent registered Made in Austria AWo Patent Brevette." The top of box is stained, split, and has a side missing;the bottom sides are split. It measures about 2 1/2" square and 11/4" tall. There is no date on the box, but it is probably from the early1900s. The five metal silhouette pieces . Good conditions for age!
