Offered for sale is a very nice antique Staffordshire flow mulberry transferware platter manufactured during the mid to late 1800s in Staffordshire, England. The platter is made of heavy ironstone and it is in the Shannon pattern with nice color and a pearlware glaze. The platter is marked on the back and overall it measures an impressive 19 1/8" by 15 3/4" in diameter. The overall condition of the platter is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or repaired areas, and the glaze is glossy with fine crazing. There are very minor utensil marks on the surface and light wear to the bottom. The edge has light rubbing, but no glaze loss that I see.
