Up for auction is this speckled hand painted Staffordshire Victorian hen on nest. She is approx. 7" tall at tail and 9" long. Please note that both pieces have a 10 painted on the base, this was done so when the hen and base came out of the kiln they would be able to match the up the right base and top. The dish is inscribed on the underside of the lid with the #759 EBS or BBS.
