It supposedly features a young Queen Victoria with a parrot on her shoulder and the young Prince of Wales beside her. I read that these figures had a secret to them and that Catholics in Britain had them and believed that they really showed a young Bonnie Prince Charlie with his mother Maria Clementina but I have found nothing definitive on this. It may explain things though because I do not think that the woman looks like any picture of Queen Victoria that I have ever seen and could explain the long hair and clothes of the boy. I am no expert on these items but it appears to be in remarkable shape for its age. I have looked closely at it and run my fingers over every square inch and cannot see or feel any cracks or chips. There is of course the right amount of crazing you would expect and the bottom of the piece looks right for the period but please look at all of my pictures as they are the best way for you to judge the color and condition of this piece. It is around 7” tall X 4 1/2" wide and about 2 1/2” deep at the base around her feet. I have looked at multiple sources and can report that I was not able to find this exact pattern anywhere.
