My Grandfather always called these Steam engine oil Cans, but he knew more about these than I would. This is a pretty good sized can and I would say its in good shape for it's age, looks like it would still hold oil & work just fine? It's solid. You can take this thing apart and put it back together really easy. You could work on this one if you need to rebuild its all nuts & bolts no rivets. This is a really Nice oil can, It has no name or makers mark It may or may not have been repaired at one time, I am not positive if all of the solder joints are original.....If they are not they were done a long time ago and the are solid.
