A vintage collectors compact, Oahu, Hawaii, Engraved on the bottom "Catherine With Love Ed - FEB. 12, 1957", Marked "WB Sterling 1620", Mirror and lock are in great condition as is the compact. Needs to be polished. Measures about 3 inches by 2 1/4 inches. This is from the Estate of Ed and Catherine Peterson, Ed was the president of Darigold Dairy untill his death in the 1980s, He traveled extensively throught the South Pacific and Asia for the dairy after the Second World War, and the Petersons were very instrimental in bringing the Worlds Fair to Seattle in 1962. |
