ANTIQUE STONEWARE ADVERTISING CROCK PRIMITIVE JOHNSON. This stoneware crock advertises "Home Made Preserves" and is labeled "Manufactured by the H.A. Johnson and Company, Boston, Mass". The crock is in good condition but is missing the lid. It has a old wire bail handle. The crock does have some black color around the bottom rim. There are no cracks or chips. This stoneware crock dates to the late 1890's and overall is very attractive. This was how you bought preserves. The preserves would come in this container. It measures 6 inches tall and 6 inches across the base. This crock has great crossover appeal and would an excellent addition to any collection.
