Antique Swiss 10 Tune Cylinder Music Box PRICE REDUCED - FIRM $1100.00 This is an antique 10 airs (tunes) Swiss cylinder music box, supposedly made by Mermod Freres, a highly respected watch making company located in Ste. Croix, Switzerland circa 1880's. The box measures 22.75 inches long by 9 inches wide on the top, and is 6 inches high. Has a beautiful inlaid design on the lid, and is in great condition given its age. Serial Number: 15849 The cylinder measures 13 inches in length, there are 78 teeth on the comb, which are in perfect condition. The song sheet on the underside of the lid lists the ten airs that are played. The "12 pounces" refers to the measurement of the cylinder that holds the songs. We pictured the paper on the lid which lists the names on the 10 songs. The music box has a great sound. To play, the winding crank is lifted several times (do not over crank) and then slide the Play/Stop lever Play. The Change/Repeat lever is placed as desired. If you want the player to stop by itself, then place the Play/Stop lever in the stop position. FREE SHIPPING WITHIN CONTINENTAL USA
