ANTIQUE TAILOR'S SHEARS These are antique tailor's shears. They are 14" long, including the handles. T is a brass pivot signed "R. Heinisch, Inventor, Newark, N.J., U.S.A.". They are still in working condition, and the cutting surface of the blades is clean and shiny although t is a small amount of rust and discoloration on the rest . Easily cleanable. T is a story behind them. An ancestor of mine immigrated to this country in the early 1900's and worked as a tailor in New York City. These were the tools of his trade. These guys are heavy, so I'd recommend parcel post. And, since they've lasted probably, over a hundred years, I doubt that insurance against breakage is necessary, but, it is, of course, up to you. And no, P.O., this is not a challenge!!I'm happy to combine winnings from other purchases. Thanks for visiting.
