Beautiful solid silver antique thomas russell and son pocket watch. Made in 1894, this item has a complete set of original hallmarks.there is an inscription on the inside which states : "Made especially for Harris Stone" Harris Stone were a famous pocket watch producers based in Leeds and therefore a certain amount of provenance can be found in relation to this item.There is a dent and some scratches on the right hand side of the crown (see photos). The rest of the outer casing, and inner movement parts are in good condition. The watch was serviced less than a year ago, I have found out recently that it will on occasion stop and start if moved around. However, more often than not the watch runs smoothly. As it sits now, the pocket watch is ticking consistantly and keeping accurate time. However, as this antique pocket watch is over 100 years old, I cannot provide any formal guarantee regarding its continued function, or accuracy as a timekeeping device as I am not an expert in antique watch movements. I hope I have provided enough information I will do my best to answer any questions.
