ANTIQUE ~ TIE PRESS ~ ACME WALNUT VENEER with SATINWOOD DECORATION 1920s ~ Good Condition ~ This auction is for an antique TIE PRESS by ACME dating from the 1920s. Produced in a WALNUT veneer, it is marked with a PATENT NUMBER – 214027 and is COMPLETE with its original fittings, which are very secure. This patent number was first used in 1893/1894. It measures 9.1/2 inches x 3.3/8 inches and has a chrome clip to secure the tie between the two wooden sheets. It has a decorative satin wood design to the central area – as can be seen in the photograph. This unusual item has survived in Good Condition, showing signs of use, to be expected for its age.
