Up For Auction: This antique electric toaster was manufactured by Universal. T is a lot of printing stamped in the metal on the bottom as follows "Patents Dec. 9, 1913 Oct. 5, 1915 Great Britain 15961-1912 22258-1912 Canada June 1, 1915 Bte. S. G. du G. No. 446548 UNIVERSAL Made By Landers Frary & Clark New Britain, Conn. U.S.A. Volts 106 (printed above)114 No. E947 Arps 3.6 Patents Nov. 16, 1920 Pat Feb. 14, 1922 Pat. Jan 31, 1922 Pat. Feb. 6, 1906 Patents Pending ". This old toaster stands almost 6 3/4 inches high and the base measures 7 3/4 inches by 3 7/8 inches to the ends of the corners. I placed a piece of bread in this toaster so that the the parts show up better. The cord is missing so I could not try it out. If this is something needed for your collection, now is the time to bid!
