I have owned this torture device for many years. It really must have been torture to have a tooth extracted in the 1700s and 1800s. I have been told that it often extracted part of the jaw bone along with the tooth. The English didn't want to be known for inventing it so they called the French Key, and visa versa. I don't know the actual age. The screw driver looking end on the handle could have been used to break a tooth. It is in good shape. All metal construction. Please ask any questions. Payment by check preferred, but t will be a 10 day wait for it to clear. PayPal accepted. No credit cards. I don't know if this is an original antique piece or a reproduction from the 1950s. It was represented to me as original when I obtained it many years ago, but I cannot veriry that. T are 18 people watching this auction so get your bids in and don't lose out.
