Antique Travler Clock Radio Model 5170 (1952) This great looking early 1950’s clock radio has a solid wood cabinet. Thecabinet is in fairly decent antique condition, and the radio plays across the AM band. The clock and its functions work as they should. The clock has a Telechron movement with red sweep second hand. This cute vintage radio is 5 ½” x 11” x 5 ½” and is being offered as a collectible to adorn your home. Here is the work I did on the radio: · Re-capping · Cabinet cleaning – inside and outside including the clock · Re-alignment of I-F’s, oscillator, and antenna · Stripped and refinished the cabinet Here are the radio’s anomalies: · Tiny scratches on the dial face– only a few and probably not able to be seen in the pictures · Small dent on the station selector face · Wear on the cabinet surface (see the pictures for total description) This Travler Radio is a great performer in itself, and the inclusion of the Telechron clock movement makes this an unbeatable combination. My radios are offered for sale for use as a project, for parts utilization, for the collectability aspect, for the antique nature of the radio, or just for your listening pleasure.
