Thank you for your time today. This auction is for a 19th C. gilt wall mirror, projecting cornice with ball drops, upper tablet with signed painted landscape oil, mirror and tablet flanked by rope twist carving set in concave pilasters, some splits in rope twist, wear and old repainting to gilt, but overall a fine Trumeau mirror, circa 1850-1875, with a signed oil painted tablet. The canvas is laid onto a backing canvas, and the mirror glass is old, diffuse, and needs replacement if you want this to look brand new. The mirror glass approx. 24.75" X 14.25". The canvas stretcher is approx. 14" X 11". The total H: 37.5", Widest: 21.5" at the top crown. The right side wood, at the bottom, is a bit more worn then the rest, as shown, all else OK. Overall, great looking antique, with possibly a listed painting. I cannot quite make the name out. Looks like Manet or something similar.
