For sale are original, unused James Swan chisels. These chisels are from a lot obtained from a Boston hardware store that acquired its inventory from Seymour, CT and warehoused it in the middle of the last century. James Swan was in operation from the mid 1800's to the mid 1900's, so this tool dates from somew in that range. Some of the tools in this lot were restamped Douglass Co. originals, a company James Swan bought out in 1877, so it is possible that these tools date pre-1900's. Three of these chisels available (price is per chisel), first come, first serve (nicest chisels will go out first).8 1/2" long 1" wide straight cutting edgemarked "THE JAMES SWAN CO SEYMOUR, CONN. U.S.A." 20% of all e-store sales go to benefit the Davistown Museum ! If you have any questions about this item, please ask.
