An original antique 19th century 72" by 72" applique quilt in red and yellow appliques on a white field with plenty of quilting work. The design is an unusual form of potted plant and being done where some of the elements are done in white is also a unusual feature. The quilt has some leaves done a light tan applique along one edge I think to identify which end was to be used at the top of the bed as the other leaves are white appliques. The quilt is completely hand stitched and it is in very nice condition with no stains just some very minor wear. Quilt is completely fresh to the market from the estate of a old time collector. A very nice unusual antique applique quilt.
