A wonderful, and unusual Native American Indian piece . EXCEPTIONAL and prolific beadwork all completed by hand. This great piece has 'FAST' on one side, and 'BOAT' on the other. And you know how desirable it is to find a piece with the AMERICAN FLAG on it. I believe this piece is probably ca: 1920s - 1940s , and was likely created as a 'tourist piece' for those early tourists who ventured to Northern Minnesota's great and beautiful Lake area. The piece has been meticulously preserved, and is in wonderful condition. I can find no missing beads whatsoever. The rough woven pink cloth that serves as the backround for the beading does have small holes throughout it, but as you can see by closely eyeballing the many photos I've provided, this doesn't detract from the piece one bit. The interior of the canoe is lined with a woven mustard/yellow colored cloth. You know the IMMENSE AMOUNT OF HOURS AND ARTISTRY that went into this piece. A great piece for read more
