~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of antique/vintage European hemp/linen roll measuring ~*~(2.95 yards) 8.85 feet long by 20.47 inches wide (2.7 meters by 52cm) ~*~* This is an amazingly rare piece of BLACK and charcoal black and brown striped Vintage Hand woven hemp~*~ this fabric is wonderful!!! One side of this fabric is a paler oatmeal tone and the stripe is a charcoal black with cocoa brown! ~ the other side is a deeper warmer toned hemp with a charcoal BLACK stripe! This textile is wonderful and rare~ After having been stored for as many as 100 years, This textile has some slight bleeding of the stripe and this varies from side to side~ however if a person were willing to use both sides, one would not have to worry about the pale bleeding as each side is in different spots! ~ This would make PERFECT pillow fabric for various projects and it is freshly laundered and ready to use~ Perfect for slip covers, curtains, upholstery, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, clothing....you name it! This would make amazing heirloom projects! ~*~ it is another wonderful textile treasure~*~ This linen is just beautiful when seamed for larger projects~ if you require larger amounts of linen please email me as my backstock is vast and I can usually match larger quantities for large projects~*~ This roll is very very beautiful~*~* *~* ~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery, bedding, cushions, curtains,clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~ ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen ~*~ These rolls are 100% machine washable, on 40 or 60 celcius..if t is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and t is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! New Hemp can be soaked in water for 3 days and then washed on regular cycle to soften or one can use liquid fabric softener if desired. Most of my rolls don't tend to need any additional help with softening as they have a lovely texture as is~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~ All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers.
