Here we have an awesome antique G.V. Harnisch EFTF Grundlagt Brass Kerosene style electric captains lamp with the date 1842 on the plaque, beautiful frosted glass globe with world maritime map measuring 16 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" in diameter at the base. It works and is in excellent condition with some crackling on the brass surface on the body of the lamp; I don't know why that is but it is a unique and wonderful antique piece of maritime lighting by a very renowned and old company based in Denmark who became the sole supplier of navigational equipment to the Royal Danish Navy in 1848.
