You are bidding on a antique Victor Modal R Phonograph. Made from 1902 - 1904 and sold for an incredible amount of $15.00 . This machine is original, However the turntable felt has been replaced. I cant tell if the cabinet finish is original or restored , if it was restored , it was done long ago. The small gap between the front bracket and the brass " remove plate " sign , is normal for this modal Victor machine, and I have never seen none with out the gap .The cabinet is oak and in very very nice condtion without any dings, scratches or repairs . Crank is original as is the paint and decal on the horn. The elbow has printing stamped in the metal, (PATENT APPL. FOR) , as does the horn have stamped in the metal, (PATENT APPL. FOR ) Which is proof of being antique. The horn does have a tiny hole just at rim , as you can see in the detailed pic. ( Very minor) . And the (bell ) has some very slight dings to , but still very presentable. These horns in all original, close to or mint condition are all but IMPOSSIBLE to find; (HENS TEETH ). All hard- ware is free of surface rust or pitting. The phonograph has a exhibition sound box. The phonograph cabinet measures (at the base) 10 in. by 9 1/4 in. and 5 1/2 in. tall , ( to the top of the turntable ) . The turntable is 7 in. in diameter . Horn is 13 1/2 in. long and 9 1/2 in wide at the bell
