This is an antique Victorian yellow metal brooch or pin with a cameo in the center. The piece measures just over 1 7/8 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at the widest point. The pin weighs 7.38 grams on a jewelry scale. This pin opens easily, and closes securely with a 'c' clasp. Additionally there is a loop on top of the pendant so this piece could be worn as a pendant. I believe the picture is of a Roman god, possibly Bacchus, with a cup. Bacchus is the god of wine. The greek name for Bacchus is Dionusus. This brooch will be insured for its full value, and a signature will be required upon delivery. Thanks for looking!
