This is an original antique 19th century solid wood (oak?) swivel piano stool marked Boston Piano on the cast iron hardware under the seat. All stool legs and spindles have a gorgeous barley twist pattern, and all four legs have the original glass ball in cast brass claw feet. The finish is worn in spots, especially on the seat, and there appears to be a clear protective finish that was applied to the stool later. The brass feet have not been polished and have acquired a naturally aged patina. There are some chips in the surface of the wood and a few very minor tight cracks, but nothing is loose or broken, and the cracks appear to be cosmetic and don't affect the integrity of the stool. The stool seat swivels and can be adjusted between about 20 - 23 inches in height and the seat measures 14" in diameter. It will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
