is a very large and beautiful antique victorian edwardian era, turn of the century wedding portrait with glass picture frame. I would date this frame to the early 1900's-20's era judging by the way the young bride and groom in the picture are dressed. This is the original photo and has never been removed. The frame still has the original paper backing. The inside picture portrait size is 16 1/2" by 20.25" and the outside frame size is 18 1/2" by 22 1/2". This picture frame has a rare and unique shape you dont find anymore in antique frames. It has the curved four corners. Also a frame like this is rare because of its extra large size. This gorgeous frame is made of wood and covered with gesso and then painted. It has lovely gold and copper brown tone colors. All along the outside edges and along the 4 sides of the frame t is a very nice gold with fancy gesso embossed raised decoration. Inbetween that you can see the copper brown brush sponge like strokes of color. This frame is in good condition, the wood and gesso decoration is all t T are some small scratches along sides and some paint rubs, but as you can clearly see in my photos it is not visable when the frame is displayed and no big deal. The gesso decoration and color is in near perfect condition. The glass is in beautiful condition. T are no scratches or cracks to the glass. read more
