Exact age and origin unknown but believe to be from the late 1800s referring to the carved design and use of heavy wood moldings.. QUALITY Solid oak / chestnut construction with bookmarked exotic oak inlay panels.. Original rich patina finish.. PROFUSE hand carved detail- edge gadrooning, hood supports and legs have bulbous center section carved with foliage and acanthus leaves known as cup and cover decoration, splayed top with panel door featuring stylized sunflowers and swans, folded linen appliques, applied turnings in the form of split spindles and much much more.. Original hand hammered solid brass hardware.. Dovetail drawers - one narrow deep drawer over one wide shallow drawer.. Quality craftsmanship..
