Beautiful antique European bee brooch, Victorian era, the mounting is 9K yellow gold, unmarked, but tested as 9K, the body & wings are faceted citrine stones, the eyes are tiny garnet cabochons, measuring 1-1/2" x 7/8" overall, condition: one of the teardrop shaped wing stones is rounder at the tip than the other (look at the center of the body where the tips meet), and at the very front, one of the antennae or feelers appears to have been broken as it is shorter and doesn't have the fork at the tip like the others (and the feet all have forked tips as well), "bug" brooches were the rage in Europe, this is a lovely one, from a local estate.Email with questions.
