Up for auction is a beautiful and unusual Victorian oval possibly gold filled or 9k gold locket. I'm not sure of the gold content the locket has no markings, the cover looks like real gold, I'm not sure of the back. The locket features a beautiful cover with a raised design and what looks like a faux pearl or real pearl set in prongs in the center. The overall condition of the locket is excellent, no dents or dings, minor wear. The hinge works perfectly and opens from right to left, snaps shut. When open, there is solder on the back of the cover where the design was attached. It measures approximately .92" x 1.36" not including the bale, .48" deep.
