PLEASE READ "CONDITION DESCRIPTION" ABOVE.This auction is for a gorgeous antique 19th century/1800s silk velvet bodice panel of the Victorian era. It is authentic with its original linings, buttons, stays and hooks/eyes.This velvet bodice is from my personal collection and its texture is so buttery soft;hard-to-find velvet in its glorious color as well as texture....although it is lightweight, it is not super thin, nor is it thick....it is perfect! Very pliable and a must for the collector to add to their silk velvet collection.....photos taken in natural light with no flash....color is even lovelier in person.....beautiful.....this has its original lining, stays, and buttons.....please study photos closely since I have shown it from all angles't is authentic of the era.....although not an abundance of velvet, one can cut small fragments, due to the boning and being folded to the inside with its original hooks....if these are removed, there will be slightly more fabric. It is worth saving every inch of it, since one will most likely not find this type of velvet, as well as its unique color that easily.........This measures approximately 7" across bottom edge, 5.5" across top shoulder area, 6" across below curved neckline, 9.5" across below armpit to edge x 10" top edge below curved armpit to bottom edge of peplum, 17.5" top edge
