Offered here without reserve is an Antique cut brass inlaid mahogany veneered tea caddy, second half 19th century. Shape of tea caddy looks like a Victorian example; having two lidded compartments enclosed by the hinged top, with cut brass inlay inscribed TEA .height 5in (12.5cm); width 8 1/2in (21.5cm); depth 5 1/2in (14cm)Excellent patina to veneered surface. My apologies for much of the brass inlay lacking around the edges and missing escutcheon. With brass lock and working key. The case looks to be pine, covered with the hardwood veneer. The compartment lids have a faux painted rosewood grain. No warping. Please review all pictures for description specifics and conditions. Feel free to message me for further images or information.
