This auction is for a Pair of Antique Victorian Gold Filled Micromosaic Earrings that each has a Bird Depicted on them....These earrings were recently purchased from an estate. Each earring measures about 15/16" long from the top of the ear wires to the bottom of the earring....These earrings are about 7/16" wide at the widest point.The tops of these earrings are attached to the rectangular mosic section in such a way so the mosaic can swing a bit...These are the Original Tops and ear wires for these earrings!This pair of earrings depicts White birds on a blue background...T is rose gold fill and yellow gold filled details on these earrings...see images.. These earrings are in Good Vintage Condition, with some signs of age and wear...please enlarge images to get a closer look at their condition....T is some wear to the gold in some areas...please see close images...--some wear on the backs, and a bit on the front of the tops etc...the rose gold layer that surrounds the mosaic on the front and highlights the triangular form on the tops seems to be in good shape...As far as the mosaic themselves, they seem to be in very good condition... I don't think t are any missing tiles, (t is a small area in the mosaic on the earring with the bird facing left --Near the upper right corner of that mosaic--w t is a small space -it doesn't seem to be missing a tile, but I thought I would mention this area and let you decide) Notice how the wings of the birds are inlaid Metal, not tile! -quite unique and when the metal catches the light it is quite lovely!I would have to categorize these earrings to be in Good Vintage condition, considering their age.....It is so hard to find Victorian Micromosaic Earrings....--I LOVE the Bird motifs on this pair! --they look great!
